Light Up the Holidays with Your Smile

You have been taking care of your teeth all year – with a little help from Bradenton, FL dentist Dr. Tiffany Boyd and the team at Braden River Dental. Now is the time to show off that beautiful smile you’ve been taking such good care of.

There hasn’t been a lot to smile about this year. Between the pandemic and divisive politics, 2020 was a rough one. But it’s almost over! And that’s worth celebrating!

Holiday Celebrations in Bradenton

We’ve been hearing about the holiday traditions that won’t be happening this year from lots of patients at our dental office in Bradenton, but there is still beauty in the season and there are other ways to celebrate.

We found some great ideas in the Bradenton Herald and wanted to share a few of them with you:

  • Winter Nights Under the Lights: This is a free event at Palma Sola Botanical Park, which is offering its second annual holiday light display Dec. 17 through 20 from 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Lights in Bloom is an open-air light show at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota featuring more than 2 million lights that illuminate the gardens. You’ll need tickets for this one and they often sell out, so get yours as soon as you can. You’ll also need face masks for entry and social distancing will be enforced. The event runs Dec. 12 through 23 and 26 through 31.

Whether you celebrate Hannukah, Christmas, Kwanza or even the Winter Solstice, many of our holiday traditions this time of year have something to do with shining a light in the darkness.

It’s easy to imagine how much that light would have meant to our ancestors centuries ago, when the long winter nights must have seemed endless. These days, of course, we can banish the darkness with the flip of a switch but displays of holiday lights and candles burning warmly on holiday tables continue to symbolize hope – and that’s something our tech cannot provide.

Bradenton dentist Dr. Tiffany Boyd and her staff of dental experts in Bradenton hope that the holidays will bring a smile to your face – and to the faces of those you love.
